PUTRAJAYA, 14 Jan 25 – The Malaysian Armed Forces Staff College (MAFSC) held a farewell ceremony to honour Commander Anthony Patrick Hayes an International Directing Staff (DS) from the Royal New Zealand Navy. Commander Hayes joined the MAFSC on 9 Jan 23 and has been an integral part of the College for 24 months.
He will soon begin a new chapter as the National Engineering Manager at Seaswift Pty Ltd, a private company based in Cairns, Australia, starting on 10 Feb 25. Commander Hayes will retire from the New Zealand Defence Force (NZDF) Regular Force on 9 Feb 25 and transition to the Royal New Zealand Navy Reserve Force, with a promotion to the rank of Naval Captain, effective 10 Feb 25.
During his time at MAFSC, Commander Hayes demonstrated exemplary leadership and unwavering integrity. His innovative ideas and commitment to excellence inspired many, consistently raising the standards of the College.
The Commandant and all members of the MAFSC community extend their heartfelt gratitude and best wishes to Commander Hayes as he embarks on this new journey.
