SEMESTER SPORT EVENT (SSE) 1 (NON-GOLFERS) MALAYSIAN COMMAND AND STAFF COURSE (JOINT) SERIAL 54/2025

PUTRAJAYA, February 27, 2025—The Malaysian Command and Staff Course (Joint) Serial 54/2025 has completed the Semester Sports Event (SSE) 1 – 6 KM Challenge. A total of 112 participants, including 16 FM/DS and 99 CP, took part in this running event, which was officiated by the Head of Training Development (HTD), Col Tan Lai Hock RMAF.

The event began with a briefing session by the Deputy Chairman of SSE 1 on the route and discipline of the event throughout the run. Safety aspects were also strongly emphasised to prevent unwanted events. All participants completed the run safely and no injuries were reported throughout the running challenge.

There are four categories contested namely, FM/DS, MCP, ICP and Ladies. For the fastest runner overall in this event for the man’s category was Maj Andrew Nathan Champion the ICP from Canada with a time of 26 minutes 33 seconds, while for the women’s category it was Mej Nor Azreen binti Zakaria who recorded a running time of 36 minutes 15 seconds. Meanwhile the Kampar Div was crowned the Overall Champion followed by the Muar Div in second place and the Jitra Div in third place. In his closing speech, HTD congratulated all the winners, extended heartfelt thanks to the organisers, and emphasised the importance of cooperation in successfully organising such events.

As the College progresses towards a culture of excellence in alignment with the PUSPAHANAS strategic map, this activity underscores the importance of maintaining fitness, perseverance, teamwork, and sportsmanship. It demonstrates how facing challenges and obstacles with positive vibes and an indomitable spirit can ultimately unite everyone within the MAFSC. Congratulations to all the winners and participants of MCSC(J) Serial 54/2025 on their remarkable achievements and exemplary spirit.

  16. Third Place – Maj Aziatul Safinar binti Ali.
