𝗣𝘂𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗷𝗮𝘆𝗮, 𝟮𝟵 𝗔𝗽𝗿 𝟮𝟱 – The Malaysian Armed Forces Staff College (MAFSC) are honoured to receive their close counterpart visit, the Singapore Goh Keng Swee Command and Staff College (GKSCSC). The traditional reciprocal visit was a long history between these two colleges conducted annually.
This year, the visit was a successful event with the conduct of academic discussion emphasizing on Malaysia – Singapore contemporary strategic issues. Notably, the disputed area in the South China Sea was thoroughly discussed and the exchange of ideas and knowledge proved to be the main concerning issues to both esteemed military colleges. More particular, the discussion highlighted the issues and challenges faced by both countries especially in economic sectors, positions in ASEAN and how the global perspective impacts both countries.
The event went on with interaction conducted for both colleges. Fun games were held tying up the camaraderie. Such engagements become a true testament of a strong mutual bonding of the friendship.
MAFSC remains committed to contributing to enhancing the ever-existing defence diplomacy, as emphasized by Brigadier General Zamsari bin Abu Hassan, Commandant of MAFSC in his welcoming remarks. It was then appraised by Colonel Fan Mun Poh, Commandant of Goh Keng Swee in his closing remarks, where he mentioned that the bond, memories and spirit of mutual respect will forever be cherished.
