𝗣𝗨𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗝𝗔𝗬𝗔, 𝟮 𝗠𝗮𝘆 𝟮𝟱 – The Cultural Night for the Malaysian Command and Staff Course (Joint) (MCSC (J))Serial 54/2025 was held at PUSPAHANAS Multipurpose Hall on 2 May 2025 at 2000H. The Commandant of MAFSC, Brig Jen Zamsari bin Abu Hasan and his wife, Puan Rosnani binti Muhammad attended the celebration together with Faculty Members and Directing Staffs, including their families. Organised by Lt Kol Mohd Johan bin Mahidin and his dedicated committee, the event aimed to share the richness of Malaysia’s diverse heritage with a total of 180 Course Participants (CPs), including 33 International Course Participants (ICPs), together with their wives and families.
This year’s celebration adopted the theme “Malaysia Truly Asia,” echoing the nation’s identity as a melting pot of cultures. The programme featured four major cultural booths representing Malay, Chinese, Indian and Borneo ethnic groups, each showcasing unique traditions, cuisine and attire that reflected the harmony and vibrancy of Malaysian society. The objective was to foster cultural appreciation, strengthen friendships and create meaningful interactions between local and international members of the course.
The cultural booths were brought to life by course participants who proudly presented their heritage through delicacies, cultural artifacts, traditional attire and interactive displays. Guests were invited to explore and experience these cultural expressions, which served as a dynamic platform for cross-cultural exchange and learning.
A key highlight of the evening was the heartfelt “duit raya” presentation to 160 children, symbolising the spirit of generosity and festive cheer in conjunction with Hari Raya Aidilfitri. This gesture added a special warmth to the occasion, reflecting the caring and inclusive spirit of the MAFSC community.
Entertainment was colourfully delivered by Army Cultural Troupe or Badan Kesenian Tentera Darat (BKTD), whose performances showcased Malaysia’s artistic excellence through music and dance. The energy and diversity on stage captivated the audience and further enriched the night’s cultural atmosphere.
Overall, the Cultural Night 2025 stood as a powerful celebration of unity in diversity. It not only promoted Malaysia’s rich cultural mosaic but also strengthened camaraderie among all Course Participants and families. The enthusiastic participation and meaningful engagement witnessed throughout the night set a high benchmark for future cultural events at MAFSC.
