COURTESY CALLS BY THE COMMANDANT OF MALAYSIAN ARMED FORCES STAFF COLLEGE IN CONJUNCTION WITH UPCOMING NORTH CAPABILITY AND OPERATIONAL STUDY (NCOS) – WEST PROGRAMME

Lumut, Butterworth and Bayan Lepas, 28 to 30 May 25 – Brig Gen Zamsari bin Abu Hasan, the Commandant of the Malaysian Armed Forces Staff College (MAFSC) made series of courtesy calls from 28 until 30 May 25 in conjunction with upcoming Northern Capability and Operational Studies (NCOS) – West Programme.  As part of the college curriculum that falls under the purview of NDUM – PSD 5323 Military Doctrine, Operations and Strategies (MDOS) course, the NCOS – West Programme will cover the states of Pulau Pinang, Kedah and Perak.

 

Courtesy Calls were made to Rear Admiral Dato’ Baharudin bin Md Nor, Acting Commander of Western Fleet, Lumut followed by Rear Admiral Dato’ Pahlawan Abd Halim bin Hj Shaari, Commander of Naval Training and Doctrine. Thereafter, the Commandant also paid a courtesy call to Brig Gen Tan Lai Hock RMAF, Commander of Butterworth Air Base as well as Maj Gen Dato’ Hj Fazal bin Hj Abdul Rahman, Commander of 2nd Malaysian Infantry Division, Pulau Pinang.

 

The meetings were pivotal in discussing the theme of NCOS – West Programme: “Malaysian Armed Forces (MAF) Operational Readiness to Defend Malaysia’s Sovereignty and Territorial Integrity”, as well as confirming activities planned for the visit scheduled in mid of June 2025.
