PUTRAJAYA, 2 August 2025 – The wives of the Malaysian Course Participants (MCPW) of the Malaysian Command and Staff Course (Joint), Serial 54/2025 (MCSCJ 54/2025), successfully organised the Division BAKAT Event (DBE) at the Malaysian Armed Forces Staff College (MAFSC). Officiated by YBhg Puan Rosnani binti Muhammad, BAKAT Chairperson of MAFSC, the event drew the participation of 140 individuals. Guided by the vision of the 23rd Chief of Defence Force, DBE 2025 centred on enhancing BAKAT’s contributions in the domains of welfare, education and economic empowerment, inclusive of all members regardless of their spouses’ ranks. The programme carried three core objectives: to enhance organisational skill through committee and members, educate in entrepreneurship skill and financial awareness and strengthen unity through meaningful and competitive activities.

The event featured a full day of high-impact engagements. The first lecture, “5 Model Bisnes”, was conducted by Puan Norasiah binti Harun, Senior Manager at the National Entrepreneurship Institute (INSKEN) under the Ministry of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives. Her session explored effective online business models for family-based income generation. The second lecture, “Bijak Wang, Bijak Niaga”, was delivered by Puan Farhana binti Syed Ahmad of the Credit Counselling and Debt Management Agency (AKPK – Agensi Kaunseling dan Pengurusan Kredit), offering practical insights into household budgeting and sustainable financial planning. These learning sessions were followed by two interactive segments: the DIY Project Competition and the IQ Quiz Challenge, both designed to promote creativity, innovation and teamwork among divisions.

The Division BAKAT Event concluded successfully, fulfilling its mission to build unity, leadership and economic resilience among MCPW. The shared experience of learning, collaboration and friendly competition underscored BAKAT’s strategic role in supporting military families and empowering women as active contributors to the well-being and strength of the armed forces community.
