𝐏𝐮𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐣𝐚𝐲𝐚, 𝟏𝟒 𝐀𝐮𝐠𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓: The Malaysian Armed Forces Staff College (MAFSC) hosted a formal presentation to commemorate the 60th National Day of the Republic of Singapore. Held on 14 August, the event honoured Singapore’s official day of independence on 9 August and reflected MAFSC’s ongoing commitment in fostering global defence cooperation, professional military education and intercultural camaraderie.
The session featured a joint presentation by the International Course Participants (ICP) from the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF), Major Joseph Lee Chun Meng and Military Expert 5 (ME5) Quek Sheng Quan. Together, they delivered a comprehensive and engaging briefing that highlighted Singapore’s history and geography, its national symbols as well as defence ecosystem. The briefing also underscored the warm and enduring diplomatic ties between Singapore and Malaysia.
Held at Hikmat Hall, the event was graced by Brigadier General Zamsari bin Abu Hasan, Commandant of the Malaysian Armed Forces Staff College, along with Heads of Department, Faculty Members, Directing Staffs and all Course Participants of MCSCJ 54/2025.
This celebration was especially timely as it provided valuable context for the course participants preparing for an upcoming study visit to Singapore’s Goh Keng Swee Command and Staff College (GKSCSC). The Singapore National Day commemoration stands as another significant milestone in the College’s mission to promote international military cooperation, build enduring defence relationships and develop future leaders.
