๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐, ๐๐ ๐๐ฎ๐ ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ญ ๐๐๐๐ : Indiaโs 79th Independence Day was commemorated with pride and pageantry at the Malaysian Armed Forces Staff College (MAFSC) in Putrajaya on 22 August 2025. Held at Hikmat Hall, the event brought together a diverse gathering of military professionals and international course participants in celebration of Indiaโs journey as a sovereign nation.
The celebration was organized by Squadron Leader Trishul of the Indian Air Force, Major Surya Oberoi of the Indian Army, and Lieutenant Commander Gaurav Siddharth of the Indian Navy, all serving as international course participants at MAFSC. Their efforts culminated in a meaningful and engaging program that reflected Indiaโs rich cultural heritage, strategic development, and enduring diplomatic ties.
Commandant of MAFSC, Brigadier General Zamsari bin Abu Hassan, attended the event alongside faculty members, directing staff, and course participants from Malaysia and several other countries. The program featured presentations on Indiaโs diverse geography, cultural traditions, and its progress in economic and defence sectors. A special emphasis was placed on the strong and evolving IndiaโMalaysia relationship, particularly in the areas of defence training and military education.
The event underscored MAFSCโs mission to foster international understanding, professional military education, and lasting friendships among officers from around the world. Celebrations like these continue to build camaraderie and mutual respect across cultures, reinforcing the values of cooperation and shared learning in a global defence community.
