𝐏𝐮𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐣𝐚𝐲𝐚, 𝟐𝟔 𝐒𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓 : The Malaysian Armed Forces Staff College (MAFSC) held a cheerful celebration of Malaysia’s National Day at Hikmat Hall. The event aimed to foster nationalism among Malaysian Course Participants, honour the sacrifices of those who secured independence and share Malaysia’s historical journey with International Course Participants.
The programme, led by Directing Staff Sponsor Lieutenant Colonel Haji Mohamad Ijas bin Saidun Zubir RMAF and the National Day Organising Committee, was graced by Brigadier General Zamsari bin Abu Hassan, Commandant of the Malaysian Armed Forces Staff College. The celebration commenced with a moment of silence to honour the nation’s heroes, followed by the recitation of the Rukun Negara, led by the Course Leader and joined by all participants. The atmosphere was further enlivened by a poem recital from Sub-Inspector Yusuf bin Ramji, winner of the 2024 National Poem Competition.
The programme continued with a video montage portraying Malaysia’s struggles, achievements and progress towards modernisation, intertwined with rich cultural values symbolising national identity. The patriotic spirit was heightened with the singing of Jalur Gemilang by all Malaysian participants, before concluding with the traditional pulut kuning cutting ceremony, officiated by the Commandant alongside distinguished guests.
This celebration marks another milestone in MAFSC’s mission to promote Malaysia’s history and culture. It also underscored the importance of international military cooperation, strengthening defence ties across borders, and developing future leaders grounded in mutual understanding.
