𝟔𝐭𝐡 𝐎𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓 : The Australian Command and Staff College (ACSC) visited the Malaysian Armed Forces Staff College (MAFSC) as part of an ongoing effort to strengthen collaborative ties between the two colleges. The ACSC delegation, led by Gp Capt Timothy Anderson, comprised three Directing Staff members, ADA and 10 Course Participants. The visit aimed to share knowledge and insights to enhance cooperation between the colleges.
During the visit, the delegation paid a courtesy call to the MAFSC Chief Directing Staff and attended a briefing on MAFSC by GSO 1 TD, followed by an Academic Talk by MAFSC Distinguished Fellow titled “𝐀𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐚-𝐌𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐲𝐬𝐢𝐚 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐜 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞: 𝐘𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐝𝐚𝐲, 𝐓𝐨𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐓𝐨𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐫𝐨𝐰”. The ACSC delegation was then brought to observe training activities conducted in the Syndicate Room and the Model Room which had been arranged as a Joint Operations Planning Group (JOPG). Throughout the visit, the ACSC delegation was exposed to training activities at the joint force level and exchanged views with Course Participants from the Malaysian Command and Staff College Cohort 54/25. The discussion focused on course/curriculum modules and the challenges faced by both colleges in their academic programs.
The visit concluded with the Head of Delegation signing the MAFSC Visitor’s Book and the exchange of mementos before taking a group photograph. This initiative was a significant step towards fostering a strengthened partnership between Australia and Malaysia in the development of professional military education.
