𝐏𝐮𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐣𝐚𝐲𝐚. The Malaysian Armed Forces Staff College (MAFSC), Putrajaya, had the honour of hosting a visit from the Philippines Command and General Staff College (CGSC). The delegation was led by Colonel Dennis F. Hernandez PN(M)(GSC), Director of the Joint and Combined Training Centre, Armed Forces of the Philippines Education, Training and Doctrine Command (AFPETDC), accompanied by Colonel Michael F. Lugtu (MI) PA (GSC), Philippine Defence and Armed Forces Attaché (DAFA) to Malaysia. The visiting team comprised a Directing Staff, 62 course participants and 7 supporting training staff.
Upon arrival, the delegation was warmly received by Colonel Ishak bin Ujang RMAF, Head of Training Development MAFSC and Lieutenant Colonel Mohd Jailani bin Ismail, General Staff Officer 1 (Programmer) MAFSC.
The official programme commenced with a courtesy call on the Head of Training Development, followed by an introductory briefing on MAFSC delivered by Lieutenant Colonel Afisyam bin Abd Raof. The delegation also attended an academic lecture by Professor Dr Adam Leong, participated in a tour of the MAFSC Model Room and concluded with a lunch session, an exchange of mementoes and a group photo to commemorate the occasion.
The visit served as a valuable platform for professional interaction and the exchange of ideas between the two prestigious institutions. It is envisaged that such engagements will continue to foster closer bilateral relations and contribute meaningfully to the development of future military leaders within the region.
