The Malaysian Command and Staff Course Joint MCSC(J) Serial 54/2025 successfully conducted the Sports Awards Ceremony Year 2025 at Kota Seriemas Golf and Country Club. The ceremony marked the official closing of the Inter Division Sports Competition involving Jitra Division, Kampar Division and Muar Division. This annual sporting programme served as an important platform for Course Participants (CP) to strengthen teamwork, discipline, resilience and competitive spirit throughout their academic calendar.
The Inter Division Sports Competition featured a wide range of events that tested physical ability, mental endurance and team cohesion. CP competed in Table Tennis, Badminton, Volleyball and the 7km Cross Country Run. The Basic Fitness Test was included in the overall points calculation to reflect the importance of physical readiness and military discipline. These core events encouraged healthy competition that strengthened unity across the divisions.
In addition to the core sports, two premier events added distinction to the sports calendar. The Haigate Challenge consisted of a single Bowling Competition conducted on 26 Nov 2025 and the Haigate Masters centred on the Golf Tournament conducted on 26 and 27 Nov 2025. Throughout the competition, CP displayed composure, professionalism and sportsmanship.
The overall results reflected strong performances from all divisions. Muar achieved first place in the Haigate Masters and the Haigate Challenge. Kampar achieved victory in Table Tennis, Badminton, Volleyball and the 7km Cross Country Run. Muar recorded the highest points in the Basic Fitness Test and as a result, Muar Division was declared the Overall Sports Awards Year 2025.
The Commandant of the Malaysian Armed Forces Staff College Brig Jen Zamsari bin Abu Hasan presented the Overall Division Trophy to Mej Kamal Jufri bin Kamalruzaman RMAF, the Leader of Muar Division. In his closing remarks, the Commandant highlighted that the Haigate Masters and the Haigate Challenge held special significance as the final sporting platforms for MCSC(J) Serial 54/2025 during their concluding semester. He commended the commitment, professionalism and sportsmanship demonstrated throughout the competitions and emphasised that these activities nurture discipline, unity, resilience and esprit de corps among officers. He expressed confidence that the values and camaraderie developed throughout the events will continue to guide the CP in their future appointments and service responsibilities.
