LUMUT, 19th August 2024. The Malaysian Armed Forces Staff College (MAFSC) continued their dedication to enhancing military education and fostering strategic cooperation with the recent North Capability and Operational Studies (NCOS) – West visit. As part of the college curriculum that falls under the purview of NDUM \u2013 PSD 5323 Military Doctrine, Operations and Strategies (MDOS) course, the initiative was essential to equip future military leaders with necessary knowledge and skills to address contemporary challenges.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The NCOS (West) visit begins from 19th to 23rd August 2024, where the delegation was led by the Commandant of MAFSC embarked on a five-days and four-nights programme covering the states of Perak, Penang and Kedah. The group comprised of 107 participants, including a Head of Department, 12 Faculty Members\/Directing Staffs, 3 administrative staffs, and 90 Course Participants (CPs). Inclusive in the delegation were 18 Overseas Course Participants (OCPs) from 17 different countries. The primary objectives of the NCOS visit were to:<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

A key highlight of the visit was the courtesy call by the Commandant of MAFSC Brig Gen Zamsari bin Abu Hasan to the Fleet Commander West (FC West). The visit included a comprehensive briefing on capabilities and operations of the Western Fleet Command Headquarters, delivered at the Auditorium Venus by FC West. The support extended by the HQ staff was pivotal in ensuring the availability of ships during the visit programme. The ship crews demonstrated exceptional knowledge and skill in conducting ship familiarisation sessions, which was integral to the success of the study.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

MAFSC extended their heartfelt appreciation to the Western Fleet Command Headquarters for their unwavering support and commitment, which played crucial role in ensuring the smooth execution of the NCOS visit. The dedication and professionalism displayed by the HQ and ship staffs were exemplary, contributing significantly to the achievement of the programme objectives. The visit demonstrated the importance of jointness in military operations and highlighted the crucial role of inter-service collaboration in strengthening the overall capabilities of the Malaysian Armed Forces.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
